I think this was released on cinco de mayo, I am just trying for the first time from a crowler picked up at the brewery, poured into a big ol mason jar (i think it holds 3 cups?)
Pours a deep hazy sunshine color, super giant foamy white head that is extremely persistent. Frustatingly so because I wanted to get more than 12 oz into this big ol cup.
Nose is mild (I was under the impression that the head was useful for providing aromatics in volatile form) but there are notes of vanilla, clementine, cream, and wheaty malt.
Taste is wonderfully juicy. Definitely that esteemed creamy, sweet citrus, 'orange julius' sort of flavor. There is also a fair bitterness, citrus peel and mildly piney.
Mouthfeel is amazing. I'm not an expert in the style by any means but I imagine that this is near the ideal that folks are talking about when they rave after the juicy juice juice. It is rich and creamy and full and, while the flavor is somewhat bitter, so so so smooth.
Overall this is a wonderful beer. Organic, juicy, refreshing, delicious.
