Very sustained, creamy dark tan head. Completely opaque, very dark brown look. Nice, slightly sweet, dark roasted grains, chocolate, some caramel and a touch of toffee, for the aroma. Quite tasty, dark roasted grains, dark chocolate, a little caramel and a bourbon tinged woody note, for the taste.

What a wonderful stout. Bringing a lot of the familiar flavors imbued by Bourbon barrel aging, but with a twist of dark fruit and dry tannic wine notes creating a lovely melange that is quite fitting for the holiday season.
Nose is rich with dark chocolate dipped black cherries and raisins. Some sweet vanilla Bourbon booziness wafting on the back end.
Taste follows suit, with bitter chocolate leading the way followed by dark fruits and ending on a dry red wine note. Very complex and enjoyable to sip.
