I feel like the aroma was a little lacking in this beer. Neither the roast malts nor the hops really came through for me. The flavor I was hoping for just a little more roast malt character to go along with the hoppy bitterness or some more hop flavor to stand out. the beer was still very good very dark not to rich perfect amount of bitterness. Definitely worth a try also I know the brewery does cask nights on Thursday if you could catch this on cask it would be pretty awesome.

On tap at the brewery.
Pours a deep dark brown color with a nice off white head.
Aromas are of chocolate, cream, with some pine and resin hop notes.
Taste is just like the nose. Starts with notes of chocolate, cream, and brown sugar sweetness. Then the hoppiness hits on the finish and rounds this one out nicely. Mostly hints of bitter pine, floral hops, and resin.
Mouthfeel is smooth, full, with nice body.
Overall, a very nice example of the style. One of the better Black IPAs I have ever tasted. Excellent.
