I was glad I could stop by this new to me brewery while visiting the Wausau area.

Lots of parking in front near the grain silo. As you walk in the bar is straight ahead and the swag shop is off to your right. I thought this was a comfortable taproom with some nice seating areas, natural light, high ceilings, etc. They have a decent sized crowd on a Thursday afternoon and there were several folks that were also touring/sampling the various breweries in the area like we were.

Service from the two bartenders was friendly and they were free with samples. They also were super helpful with customers that were new to their German style beers or new to craft beer in general.

I did not see or ask about food.

I liked their beers. My Oktoberfest was a nice mineral malt driven beer. The other lagers I had were very good. Next time I will try their Schwartz beer and their weizens. I think there were 8 or beer choices.

It was an enjoyable stop in a town that has some decent beer options.

Fantastic tasting room with great service. Stopped in on our way up North, not far off of hwy 51. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised driving up to a nice brick building. It was busy but were served in a friendly/timely manner. Very good lagers! Bring your own food.

Nice small place. The night I visited there was a birthday gathering so it was kind of crowded. Beers available are not on beer advocate but still spectacular none the less. Pleasant service despite the crowd. A southern girl gives this northern watering hole a thumbs up.

The small tap house attached to the Brewery is very comfortable and usually has 5 or 6 beers on tap. It is located in a residential neighborhood just adjacent to some train tracks which almost disquise the brewery.

They servs peanuts in the shell and have a coupl; of tv's but the focus is really on the beer. They do not serve food. The interior is brightly lit and filled with wooden tables and bar stools. for a north woods feel. It can be quite busy.

The beer tenders have always been willing to let you sample before committing to a full beer and definitely worth a quick visit if going through Wausau, WI.

After deciding to take it easy at Darkness Day, I finally made it to check out the brewpubs of Wausau. This place definitely excelled in the German style beer, a little less malty than I would like but still solid for the style. Atmosphere was ok, as I talked to a few locals as well as a few associated with the brewery. Server was new and did ok all things considered. Would have liked to see a little more variation in flavors here, but for what they do they do well. Worth a stop if you're in the Wausau area and especially if you're into German beers.

Stopped in here a few days ago while in Wausau. Feels less like a brewery tap room and more like a neighborhood bar, a very nice, bright, and clean bar at that. Lots of real wood paneling and large windows, sports on TV and cable/satellite radio. Two narrow openings in the back wall reveals a small glimpse of the adjacent room's brewery.

Each table and the bar had bowls already filled with peanuts in the shell, which was nice to have ready. There were about a dozedn beers on tap. I went with the Weizenbock and Zwickel, both of which were very good. Pint and 12oz glasses sell for $15 and $14 respectively, as they are imported from Germany (and great to drink out of).

Made a stop here before leaving Wausau to give a shot. The decor is very up north cabin like. Knotty pine wall to wall with a wooden bar and a handful of wooden tables. Rather open and cold feeling. Lots of windows keep it well lit. We kinda felt like outsiders. Since most if not all the people in there were "regulars". A "townie" bar if you will. More so than a brew pub.

The selection was the highlight of the place. I believe around ten beers on tap. I settled on the oatmeal stout which was rather good.

The service was average. The woman bartending seemed more intersted in chatting with the townies then serving beer. She didn't ignore us just didn't wow us either.

Overall not a must stop but at least worth a quick visit while in town. I'm a big rootbeer fan so grabbed a sixer of their house brand. It was average at best.

Finally found this place in a residential neighborhood in Wausau...if you aren't that familiar with Wausau and it's one way streets it can be hard to find a place like this.

As we entered it appeared there was a regular local crowd lining the bar. One gentleman at the bar was very friendly and recommended some good Bull Falls beer for us to try. We pulled up a table and enjoyed a Stout, which was very good. We hardly took a seat and the bartender offered us a bowl of peanuts and another bowl to put the shells in. A couple of televisions had the Playoff football games on.

Very friendly clientèle, a good bartender and a clean establishment. Tasty beer topped it all off. I would recommend it for anybody wanting to check out a good small local microbrewery.

I stopped in while in Wausau on business. Bull Falls is in a residential area just off a main road downtown. It's got a very casual, local feel to it. The interior is pretty basic with simple light woods and a tin style drop ceiling.

They had 10 of their own beers on tap. There was no IPA so I tried the Oktoberfest and it was pretty good. The server was nice and outgoing but she didn't seem to know a lot about the beer or the area.

Bull Falls is worth a visit if you're in the area but it's nothing to go out of your way for.

I tried this pub back in May, while in town visiting friends. Living in St. Louis, I am kinda spoiled with the many fine micro pubs there. I returned to town during Labor Day, and went back. Service was exceptional. The young lady behind the bar knew a decent amount about beer, was extremely friendly, and, even remembered me from my last visit 3 months before! Awesome! The vibe is laid back, NON SMOKING ( YES!), and just plain nice. I would like to see more selection, but, the beers I had were really good, for a newer brewpub, in a small town dominated by Miller. I enjoyed it, and, will be back.

My wife and I stopped in here with our kids on a recent trip to Northern Wisconsin. We were pleased with our experience. The facility was clean and inviting. It was family friendly and I believe the kids that were bouncing around the place belonged to an employee or owner.

They don't serve food, but they do provide peanuts in the shells on each table. They had 9 beers on tap the day we stopped. We didn't try them all, but what we had we enjoyed. The service was friendly enough that it felt like you were hanging out in somebody's home.

The beer was good and the selection of beers was good. Some of the beers seemed to be served at a temperature closer to cask than pushed. Since I prefer my beer to be "flavorful" this was a bonus, obviously.

The restrooms were clean and were down a long hallway that had windows that looked into the brewing facility.

The entire place was nicely lit with natural light because of all the windows. No food, but the experience was very enjoyable to just "hang out." More of a taproom than a "brewery" for the purposes of the beer drinker.
