Copenhagen 9/7 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Doggerbanke, Skagen. Skagen Bryghus' usual design in a dark blue version with their characteristic logo with a white star with many prongs on a red background.
Pours unclear amber with a small white head. A bit bubbly. Settles a thin patch of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with sweet, malty, slightly toasted odor mingling with weak citric notes. Caramel and toffee. Oxidized apple. Whiff of citrus.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is sweetish and slightly toasted.
Not much resemblance to a Pilsner.

Pours an amber to golden color with a solid, medium sized head.
Smells of matured herbs and dried grass, together with lighter caramel and a hint of flowers.
Has a finely nuanced effervescent carbonation, leading to a light bodied refreshment.
Tastes of dry hops, defined by dried leaves and lighter flowers, soon getting overpowered by sweet caramel malts. Remains malt driven with a note of straw cutting through and only subdued, faint hops at the back end. Finishes one dimensional sweet and watery with no maintaining hops to speak of.
Very weak Pilsener which is, as this is supposed to come from an artisanal brewery, reminiscent of a macro brewery in every way unfortunately.
