Ale red as blood, brewed with English Fuggle hops, which give flavors of mint, grass and hawthorn.

Copenhagen 28/3 2021. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Skagens usual design this time with a Viking-inspired wooden, rough background with some runes. Jim Lyngvild must be envious.
Pours slightly unclear amber with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet, malty and lightly toasted odor. Caramel and toffee. Toasted malts. Light sourish notes peeking in.
Light carbonation. Thin oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a bitter twist and lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry and a bit toasted.
Them Vikings liked their Red Ale pretty sweet.
