Hirtshals 13/10 2020. 50 cl bottle from Spar, Magrethevej, Hirtshals. Black version of Skagen Bryghus’ usual design with the 16 pronged star with red background.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big light beige head. Settles as thin, patchy, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a medium strong sweet odor mingling with a sourish, earthy scent. Brown sugar and cocoa. Wet soil and leather. Hints of black coffee.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter-ish and lingers for a while. Finish is dark with a light dry touch.
Dark and Delicious.

Bottle bought in Denmark. Black colour, creamy tan head. Aroma and flavour of liquorice, roast malts, dark bitter chocolate, coffee, tar and smoke, moderate hops. Decent beer.
