A fantastic ale, with delicious foam that drips a little on the lips from the delicious Læsø gourmet sydesalt.
The beer goes perfectly with fresh and smoked fish.
Læsø sydesalt is produced at Rønnerne on Læsø, production started in 1991 with volunteer labor and in 2004 they were able to start hiring staff. Læsø salt is sydesalt, extracted by evaporating salty groundwater, it contains a number of minerals that give it a unique taste.

Copenhagen 14/11 2020. 50 cl bottle from Skagen Bryghus. Strong blue version of Skagen's usual design Læsø coat of arms in the background.
Pours unclear amber with a mid-sized, stable white head. Settles thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with sweet malty odor. Not much saline saltiness here. Cardboard, caramel, stuffy bedroom, brown sugar, light toast.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intensewith a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a very light saline undercurrent. Finish is oily a sweet.
They have been quite cheap with the salt in this sweet Vienna. But then again - they charge 40 Euros for a kilo.
