Light straw-colored beer, with a thick persistent head. The protein content of the wheat makes the beer cloudy, but the essence is the soft, grainy taste of wheat. Wheat also contributes to a creamy and full-bodied beer, but emerges with a rather light and refreshing finish.

Hirtshals 12/10 2020. 50 cl bottle from Spar, Magrethevej, Hirtshals. Skagen Bryghus’ usual design in dark Blue design and with the 16 prangede Star on a red background.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, creamy layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet lemonade-ish odor mingling with light citric fumes. Oranges, white sugar. Wheat. A bit of lemon and citrus concentrate.
Medium carbonation. Thin, watery, tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium sweetness followed by a light sourness. Aftertaste is lightly tart. Lingers shortly. Semi-dry finish.
A quite thin take on a Hefeweizen. So light I hardly notice it.
