Bavarian beer was the first type of beer known before the founder of Carlsberg invented the light beer.
Tordenskiold is dark, with a lovely taste of malt, caramel and a hint of sweetness.
Brewed for the Tordenskiolds Days in Frederikshavn.

Copenhagen 6/8 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Doggerbanke, Skagen. The classic painting of Todenskiold, Norwegian naval hero on the label.
Pours clear dark brown with big off-white head. Stable and fluffy. Settles thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with sweet malty odor with light toasted touch. Toffee, caramel and toasted bread. Biscuits and hints of brown sugar.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, A bit creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for bit. Finish is semi-dry and laden with biscuits.
Smooth and rather pleasant Dunkel.
