A strong beer that warms your cheeks after a cold and refreshing dip in the sea. The harmony of this bock beer is second to none - Enjoy it throughout the cold winter months. For this beer we have been particularly generous with the caramel malt, so enjoy it with care and love.

November 2019: Shared 500 ml bottle, ABV 6%. From Holtes Vinlager, Skagen. Reddish colour, dark amber if you like. Moderate off-white head. Nice malty aroma and flavour , notes of caramel and brown bread.

Copenhagen 29/7 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Doggerbanke, Skagen. Skagen’s usual design with a lot of crushed ice and their pretty cool logo with the white star on red background.
Pours clear dark mahogany with a bit of debris floating around. Big off-white head. Stable. Settles as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of toasted malts mingling with nutty and grainy notes. Caramel and toffee. Sour grains. Metallic alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and toasted. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry and a bit nutty.
Decent, sweet and nutty Bock.
