Copenhagen 29/12 2019. 50 cl bottle from Mad & Vin, Magasin, Kbh. K. Skagen Bryghus’ usual design in burgundy and the Star with many prongs.
Pours unclear amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium-intense, sweet and a bit boozy. Caramel, toffee, brown sugar, light roast. Light tart notes of citrus lurking in the background.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness with a warming, boozy edge. Aftertaste is sweet and strong with a light, tart undercurrent. Sweet, boozy finish.
A cozy, sweet, heart warming brew. Sweet but not cloying and capable to give a little buzz.
