Dark Christmas Wheat
Brewed with lots of dark wheat and caramel barley malt. Sabro, Simcoe and Cascade hops, which give a tropical character.

Copenhagen 28/1 2021. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé. Frb. F. Purple version of Skagen's usual design with the 16 pronged white star with red background.
Pours unclear maroon with a red hue and a mid-sized off-white head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity and malty odor mingling with a citric scent. Caramel, toffee and a bit of brown sugar. Peach and orange. Tart citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong tart bitterness. Aftertaste is bit thin. Sweetish with a light tart undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Run of the mill Dunkelweizen. A tad too sweet for my taste buds.
