Silkeborg 19/4 2020. 50 cl bottle from Fanø Bryghus. Simple blue label with orange text announcing the Vesterland 2020 festival in Fanø. A bit historic as it is now postponed to 2021.
Pours murky orange with a very big, fluffy white head. Settles as a 4 cm thick, fluffy crown of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet maltiness mingling with citrus fruit. Sweet caramel and peach. Oranges and tart tangerine. A bit of grapefruit.
Strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
They might not be able to celebrate their Vesterland festival in 2020 but they have an excellent IPA to drown their sorrows in.
