The colour is deep brown black; the firm finger thick head leaves lots of lacing. The liquid is clear.
There are lots of roasted malt in the smell; some bitter hops and hints of broth, coffee and chocolate.
The taste is creamy; a malty chocolate-flavour dominates. There are also notes of matured apples and some clean bitterness. The aftertaste got a mild bitterness with cocoa, coffee, yeast and a hint of caramel.
The carbonation is surprisingly strong; there are lots of medium sized bubbles. The liquid is a little on the watery side.
A highly drinkable stout with lots of chocolate. Yoummy!
