Copenhagen 12/10 2023. 50 cl bottle from many, Rotunden, Hellerup. Light blue label with a moping Canute.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, sugared odor mingling with potent Bourbon. Brown sugar, toffee and caramel. Dark licorice and salty soy sauce. Whiff of sweet, potent Bourbon.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, soft, a bit sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with heavy sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a sharp bitter undertone. A bit searing. Lingering. Finish is dry and harsh.
