Copenhagen 20/8 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Dark blue version of Fanø Bryghus' usual single hop series design with a big hop flowering center.
Pours unclear amber with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet fruity odor mingling with a tart sour scent. Toffee and caramel. Sweet peach. Citrus and grapefruit. Floral notes.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Pretty fair Single Hop Indian Pale Ale doing Chinook justice.
