Copenhagen 5/6 2022. 50cl bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Painting of Gorm The Old on the label where he looks a bit ghoulish with a weird antler-like crown.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with sweet, sugary, malty scent mingling with a sweet dark alcohol. Dark, roasted malts, brown sugar and toffee, raisins and fermented plums. Dark sweet rum in prominence.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, a bit sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sugary with a strong undertone of dark alcohol. Lingering. Finish is dark, boozy raisins.
Potent sweet boozer where I can really taste the rum.
