Copenhagen 24/11 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Drawing of a white haired and bearded king on the label.
Pours opaque, murky maroon with a small off-white head. A bit bubbly. Disappears quite quickly leaving no traces of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sugary sweet odor with notes of sweet liqueur. Brown sugar, caramel and candy. Sweet sherry, almonds and sugar-laced plums.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, sticky, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sugary sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sugary. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and sugar-glazed.
Harald certainly has a sweet tooth.
