Aged for over a month on Candy Cap Mushrooms, this ale is dark brown with a light aromatic notes of maple syrup and roasted malts. Hints of dark fruits, caramel, maple syrup, and chocolate give this beer a complex and flavorful finish.

Copenhagen 3/5 2024. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Off-white label with a lot of colorful fungi.
Pours slightly unclear mahogany with a mid-sized yellowish head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sugary, hard roasted odor mingling with sweet alcohol. Burnt malts, syrup, sugar and sweet coffee liqueur.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sugary. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweetly sugary.
A tad too sweet for me. But they should get points for thinking that beer and mushroom should be a thing.
