Queen of the Waves is an alternative collab between us and our amazing friends from Stepping Stone.
A unique fusion of our Red Wedding and their Respite, aged in Stauning Whiskey casks for 13 months. A beautiful stout with complex aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, red wine and whiskey.

Copenhagen 18/2 2025. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Blue label with a drawing of a Queen holding a sword cleaving the Waves.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a very boozy odor mingling with some sweet and roasted malts and some sour milk. Sweet sharp Bourbon. Overwhelming. Dark roasted malts Butter and acidified milk.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit greasy, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and saturated in alcohol. Sourish undertone. Finish is semi-dry with a healthy dose of Bourbon.
An overwhelmingly boozy experience.
