Culture War is a great collaboration between us and our good friends at Gamma Brewing Co. Together we have created an Imperial Stout with a thick body that has a lot of sweetness. The heaviness of the beer is complimented by smoky aromatic notes of whiskey and spirits.
Malt: Chocolate malt, Pale Ale malt, Munich malt, Carafa Special III, Cara Café, Cara Munich II.
Hops: Northern Brewer.
Brewed with: Vanilla, caramelized Belgian sugar, muscovado sugar, and cocoa nibs.
Aroma: Whiskey and smoked oak.
Yeast: WLP001.

Copenhagen 24/5 2025. 50 cl bottle from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. A statue of the Lady Justice with her eyes blotted out with red paint on the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. A bit bubbly. Disappears and leaves only a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong, sweet potent malty odor mingling with a distance scent of warming, sweet alcohol. Brown sugar and toffee. Cocoa and a hint of licorice. Sweet Bourbon. Oak and alcohol
Low carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous but a bit greasy, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a heat sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a rough bitter undertone. A bit boozy. Lingerin. Finish is searing alcohol with a sweet touch.
I do not know who won the Culture War But it surely was a boozy and sweet Event.
