Fanøs Imperial Jule Porter is brewed with coffee and cinnamon before being aged on whole Arabica coffee beans and Polynesian vanilla beans.
The pleasant, clear aromas of cinnamon, chocolate and coffee give this beer a warm introduction, followed by the additional taste of vanilla intertwined with the coffee and cinnamon. Suitable for cheese, beef, lamb and Christmas cakes.

Copenhagen 20/11 2020. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Drawing of a tipsy, rumbled, Santa smiling benevolently at me on he label.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet odor mingling with bitter coffee. Brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, tobacco, leather and soil. Bitter americano.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, viscous, oily, smooth, soft texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering. Finish is sweet and a tad boozy.
A soft, thick, sweet - but not unbalanced - heavy hitting Christmas Stout.
