Copenhagen 14/5 2022. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Stylized drawing of the small ferries running from Esbjerg to Nordby on Fanø on the label in blue shades.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty and a bit roasted odor with an earthy touch. Dark roasted malts, toffee and brown sugar. Coffee, leather and tobacco. A bit of bitter coffee.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingering. Finish is dry.
Fine and intense stout where the bitterness is very much present.
