Red Wedding is an imperial stout, brewed with coffee and lactose then aged in red wine barrels for over a year. Smooth flavors of coffee, vanilla, oak and wine blend together is this sweet stout to make this 12,2% imperial stout something far more dangerous than you would ever believe.

Nordby 13/7 2020. 20 cl on tap at Fanø Bryghus, Strandvejen, Fanø. Drinking the 2020 edition (12,2 in ABV).
Pours opaque dark brown with a medium-sized beige head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet potent odor, earthy odors and some bitter dark chocolate thrown in. Brown sugar, molasses. Leather and a light smell of moldiness. Boozy odor of alcohol lurking just beneath.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, slightly sticky, fat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet but with a bitter undercurrent. Lingering. Finish has a light boozy burn.
Potent, dark and sweet Imperial Stout. For some reason they only sell them in small glasses at the brewery. Probably a wise decision.
