Copenhagen 15/8 2020. 50 cl bottle from Fanø Bryghus, Strandvejen, Fanø. Drawing of a lot of white pepper, basil and cucumber plants on the label.
A bit gushy upon opening. Pours unclear yellow with big white head. Fairly stable. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a distinct, sweet, malty odor mingling with a mild, herbal scent. Sweet pale malts, bread and cardboard. Light touch of pepper and basil. A bit of citrus peeking in.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light bitter edge. Finish is surprisingly dry.
Decent, herbal Pilsener. Easy to drink and forget.
