Originally constructed in 1895, the mill in Sønderho is celebrating its 125th year in 2020 and to celebrate the impressive milestone we have brewed this special Hefeweizen. “Hved Drikker Møller?” is light and crisp, with the subtle fragrance and flavor of the elderflower it was brewed with. So, let us raise a glass and toast the Sønderho Windmill and all of the fine people have taken such good care of it for all of these years! May they all enjoy another 125 years of favorable winds!

Rindby 15/7 2020. 50 cl. bottle from SuperBrugsen, Nordby, Fanø. Drawing of the old mill in Sønderho on the label.
Pours unclear pale yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a light fruity sweetness and stronger tart notes. Oranges, tangerines. Hints of sweet peach. Tart citrus and gooseberries.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourness. Aftertaste is thin and watery. Lightly tart. Lingers shortly.
Mostly harmless, thin and quite boring.
