Copenhagen 8/3 2019. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. Fence with Hello and Goodbye written in many languages.
Pours opaque dark brown with small light beige head. Settles as thin layer just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet, dark and with a tart twist. Brown sugar, coffee, light roast. Mild citric notes of tangerine and lemon. Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, creamy, soft texture.
Flavor is fairly sweet without being heavy or cloying. Followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingering.
It actually lives up to the tag line Hoppy Porter with a good balance between the sweet and the bitter.
