Eclipse On Fanø is a double mashed, full-bodied and effervescent Imperial Stout that celebrates the quiet intensity of the island.
The beer is poured as black as a solar eclipse from the bottle, with aromatic notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and caramel, all creating a taste of long nights and silence that can only be experienced in the northern skies of Fanø, far from the mainland.
Malt: Marris Otter, Munich, roasted barley, Dark Crystal, Pale Chocolate, Carafa Special III, chocolate malt.
Hops: Bittering.
Brewed with: Rolled oats and dried malt extract.
Aroma: Rich notes of chocolate with a touch of sweet caramel and roasted malt.

Copenhagen 31/10 2025. 50 cl bottle from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Drwing of a masked lady from Fanø with a strude on the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige hed. Stable. Settles as a thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Not much lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of dark roasted malts mingling with a citric scent. Sweet toffee and brown sugar. Leather. Lemon and lime.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a little bit citric. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry,
A quite strong Stout combined with a lot of citric hops.
