Brewed specially for the 2018 Fanø International Knit Festival, Knit Wit is a light wheat beer made with a blend of wild berries, giving it a slight pink hue, fruity characteristics and easy drinkability so as not to effect your cross-stitching, your casting off, your binding off, your slip stitching or your looping, swooping and pulling.

Copenhagen 21/2 2019. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rødovre Centrum. Drawing of some Wheat Ears and a Knitting Bobbin on the very purple label. It is not every day I drink the official Festival beer from a Knitting Festival. But amusing name when it comes to that.
Pours slightly unclear, pinkish yellow with small bubbly white head. Disappears very fast leaving very small remnants of foam behind. Chunks of yeast whirling around. No lacing.
Aroma is a bit subdued. Sourish, sharp lemonade. Citrus, tart berries. Softer, sweeter malt base underneath. Light artificially sweet odor of berries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, flat texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by a medium strong sourness. Aftertaste is sourish with lighter sweeter undercurrent. Fairly short.
I love the concept of a Knitting Festival Beer but this one is a bit too thin - and strangely artificial.
