Stable Genius is an unfiltered America Pale Ale fermented with a blend of our usual house ale yeast and a strain brettanomyces yeast. Low bitterness and citrus fruit flavors blend with light brettanomyces “horse stable” characteristics, giving this beer an easy drinkability and shelf-life far longer than anyone would expect.

Copenhagen 5/2 2019. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Alle, Frb. Drawing of a very weird horse with an immense butt on the label accompanied by a Donald Trump quote about how really smart the Donald is. They really have the hots for Trump at Fanø Brewery.
Pours hazy orange with big white head. Settles as thin but frothy layer of foam. Hanging on to the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma has the sweetness of exotic fruit like peach, melon and mango. Stronger citric notes. citrus and lemon. Moderately strong notes of funk and lactose.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and prickly texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and funky. Finish is dry.
I do not know why Fanø Brewery has this fixation on Donald Trump - but who cares as long as they make a bunch of good beers in the process?
