Collaboration with Meny Lauget.
Inspired by exemplary barleywines like Anchor Brewing’s “Old Foghorn” and Sierra Nevada’s “Big Foot Barleywine” with a Nordic twist thanks to the addition of Norwegian Kveik Voss yeast. Harvesters Haul is a beautiful barleywine with notes of citrus, caramel and raisins.
Malt: Golden Promise and CaraPils.
Hops: Cascade.
Aroma: Citrus, caramel and raisins.
Yeast: Kveik Voss

Copenhagen 30/1 2025. 50 cl bottle in a cardboard box from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Dark green label with a drawing of barley in a lighter green pen.
Pours opaque, murky dark amber with a small off-white head. Stable. Settles as a paper thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, liqueur-ish odor mingling with a scent of citrus fruit. Sweet caramel and brown sugar. Dark fruits and alcohol. Raisins and plums. Alcohol looming.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, soft, viscous, fat, creamy, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong and a bit sugary sweetness followed by a medium strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is dry yet boozy.
Heavy but with a light touch of citrus.
