The third RYEnoceros born on Fanø. A lighter side of this powerful animal. The mild spicy flavor and aroma of rye malt adds complexity to this smooth refreshing wheat IPA. Light in color but strong in bitterness. New Zealand Rakau and Pacific Gem hops give this RYEnoceros a strong citrus and stone fruit finish.

Copenhagen 28/5 2017. 50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. Silhouette of white Rhinoceros on the label. It seems that this Ryeno completes the family of three from Fanø Brewery.
Pours hazy orange with small white head. Settles as flimsy patchy layer of thin foam. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is dominated by strong citric sourness. Something sweet and fermented and slightly exotic lurking in the background.
Light carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by quite overwhelming citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and finish bone dry.
Nice aggressively bitter IPA - but you can not taste the Rye for all the hops.
