A smoked variant of our beloved Vadehav brown ale, Smoked Vadehav is brewed with a 17% Beech Smoked Barley, adding a light, smokey character to the toasted and chocolate aromas typically present in a brown ale.

Copenhagen 26/4 2017. 50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. The Ocean with waves done like a Japanese Wood print on the label. The waves seems quite big for a beer named after the Wadden Sea.
Pours very dark brown with bubbly off-white head. No lacing.
Aroma is sweetish caramel, brown sugar and roasted rye bread with clear notes of smoke.
Strong carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is heavy sweet. Only light bitterness. Aftertaste is brown sugar and smoke.
A tad too sweet - but smoky without overdoing it.
