Collaboration with Thyras Bryg
We use our collaborations as a great opportunity to learn something new. So when Thyras Bryg and Fanø Bryghus were going to make our brand new collaboration brew, we decided to brew something that none of our breweries had ever brewed before.
The result is this beautiful Wheatwine, aged for a year and a half in white port barrels, which we also use for our coveted White Wedding.
Expect a balanced beer, with clear notes from the port barrel and where the wheat gives a light expression to the body.
Malt: Marris Otter, Crystal, Melanoidin, Cara Red and wheat malt. Brewed with: Rolled oats.
Hops: Bittering.
Yeast: Ale.

Copenhagen 13/2 2026. 50 cl bottle from Spar, Støberigade, Kbh. SV. Rendering of a barrel strutting with wheat on the label. Very rural.
Pours opaque murky dark amber with a small white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin and almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense and gets more distinct as the beer warms up. Sweet wheat, vinous fermentation and sugar. Brown sugar, toffee and alcohol. Port wine and sweet barrel odor. Hints of licorice.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit viscous, soft, a little greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Pleasant Wheat wine which avoids getting too boozy and sweet. Gentle kiss of Port.
