Copenhagen 27/2 2026. 75 cl bottle from Spar, Støberigade, Kbh. SV. Drawing of a zombie-like version of viking king Gorm The Old with an orange background.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Stable. Settles as a paper thin layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet odor of dark roasted malts meeting dark alcohol and earthy fumes. Chocolate and caramel. Rum in abundance. Leather and brown sugar. Potent and dense.
Low carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous, soft, a bit sticky, fat and creamy texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and saturated in dark alcohol. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and rather boozy.
An impressive version of the good old Gorm which carries a punch.
