Copenhagen 17/1 2016. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. NV. Some maritime gear on the label to signify that this beer should be part of your provisions when you are going sea faring.
Pours hazy opaque dark brown with a red hue and a small off-white head which dissipates quite quickly. Leaves only thin patches of foam. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is overwhelmingly sweet with licorice, syrup, raisins marinated in alcohol and some sharp notes of spices.
Fizzy carbonation and thick oily palate. Lively texture.
Flavor follows the nose. Very sweet with sugary syrup, sweet berries, a little coffee bitterness, licorice, a little boozy alcohol and something spicy providing some balance against the wall of sweetness. Aftertaste is syrup, cognac and alcohol.
A nice one to speed up digestion on a sunday night.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of liquorice and roast malts, hints of snuff. The flavour is kind of boring, not very sweet, with minimal hops. Some roast malts.
