Copenhagen 10/2 2017. 50 cl bottle from Netto. Drawing of chubby, big breasted blonde wearing a Christmas Hat on the label. Looks slightly drunk.

The beer does not look particularly blonde when you pour it. More opaque muddy brown with a small off-white head. Settles as very thin, patchy layer of foam.

Aroma is sweet and malty with a touch of dark fruit. Fermented fruit, caramel, light notes of citrus and a touch of alcohol.

Fairly soft carbonation and thick oily palate.

Flavor is rather sweet. Followed by medium spicy bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet. A little boozy.

Not very Belgian. Just a hard hitting, muddy looking Christmas Brew. No wonder the lady on the label looks slightly drunk.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.2%. Orange colour, small white head. "Perfumed" aroma, notes of yeast, orange peel and mild spices, hints of solvent. Yeasty and "unfinished" sweet flavour (bad homebrew), orange peel and mild spices, moderate hops. Not my choice for Christmas dinner, that's for sure.
