Copenhagen 2/12 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Angry Santa with beer on a orange background on the label.
Pours slightly hazy amber with a creamy white head. Stable. Settles as a 2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing on the side of the glass.
Lemonade-ish aroma with a citrus twist. Exotic sweet fruit meeting citrus and grapefruit. I even might be reminded of pine and resin.
Soft carbonation and medium thick palate. Gently tingling texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter.
Not the obvious style for a Christmas Brew but a refreshing alternative to the many quite sweet and malty Christmas Beers.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 6.5%. Brownish-orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma and flavour of citric and piney hops, notes of malts and caramelized orange marmalade. Bitter finish.
