500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Big tan head. Weird and unpleasant sweetish aroma, strong notes of cough syrup, anise and tobacco. The flavour is somewhat better than the aroma, notes of dark malts, brown candi sugar, raisins and liquorice, the snuff tobacco is fairly moderate. Very moderate hops in the finish. Not a winner by me.

Bottle pick up at BBF2010. This beer is brewed with licorice, seed-weed and chewing tobacco.
Look: Pours a dark black color with a light brown head, leaving a nice lacing.
Smell: Licorice, roasted malts, anise, mint, tobacco, and leather.
Taste: Sweet flavor, bit salty licorice, malts, tobacco, caramel and anise some medicinal spices. Some berries and hops in the finish
Mouthfeel: medium carbonation, medium body
Overall: nice and original brew.
