A real craft pilsner, where there is a bias towards traditions and a love for craftsmanship.
In a pilsner, the taste of the raw materials is on full display – that is why we have chosen to use organic farm malt from Gyrup, where the grain comes from our own fields and is malted on site. Modern German hops provide the right bitterness and a fresh, spicy citrus aroma.
Aging in oak brings to mind the time when everything was served from wooden barrels.

Copenhagen 29/1 2023. 50 cl bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. A very corny fellow on the label.
Pours slightly unclear pale yellow with a big white head. Settles a 1 cm thick, frothy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a lighter grassy scent with a light floral touch. Sweet pale malts, bread and a light whiff of caramel. Fresh grass and rose hibs.
Light carbonation. The, watery, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Decent if not exhilarating Pilsener. A bit on the sweet side.
