In connection with the 150th anniversary of the Danish Beekeepers' Association, Midtfyns Bryghus is launching a new beer. Of course, it's a honey beer.
When beekeepers and other interested parties from all over the country gather for the anniversary event "Bees' Festival" in Ringe on July 2 and 3, they will have the opportunity to taste a brand new beer, which has even been brewed for the occasion. It is Midtfyns Bryghus that has brewed a honey beer to help mark the Danish Beekeepers' Association's 150th anniversary.
Bo Abelgren Ehler, brewer at Midtfyns Bryghus, says: "The new beer is a golden ale, brewed with honey and caramel malt, which gives the beer the notes of honey. A special yeast has also been used to highlight the aroma and taste of honey and flowers."

Middelfart 1/4 2017. 50 cl bottle from the local Kvickly with the immense selection of more or less obskure beers. The Anniversery beer from the association of Bee-keepers seems to fit that bill. With honey of course. Small beer and a couple of flags on the label.
Pours hazy amber with big white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate Lacing.
Aroma is not as sweet as I would suspect from a Bee-keeper beer. Floor polish, fermented fruit and alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is a little thin but not unpleasant. Medium sweet and quite well balanced by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish - maybe a touch of honey with light bitter sour notes.
Easily drinkable ale which can probably keep the Bee-keepers dancing all Night.
