The taste is dark and full-bodied with notes of roasted malt, licorice and light sweetness, while extra hops provide some balance and complexity in the aftertaste.

Copenhagen 18/4 2026. 50 cl bottle from Beershoppen web-shop. A sketchy drawing of the composer Ruud Langgaard in his later years on the pale yellow label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized off.white head. Stable. Settles as a thin patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of dark malts mingling with a bit of licorice and mint. Caramel and toffee. Hint of brown sugar. Salty licorice and cool mint and anis.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a salty and minty touch, Lingers for a while Finish is semi-dry.
A nit heavy on the anis.
