Copenhagen 2/1 2019. 75 cl bottle from Aldi, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh NV. As "Skovlyst Høstbryg". Label is Skovlyst' usual style with a drawing of a sunny landscape with some buck-thorn in the foreground.
Pours murky, dark amber with medium-sized, stable, white head. Settles as very thin, almost transparent layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma issweet and a bit sharp at the same time. Sweet caramel, lightly roasted malts. Tart berries and a slightly more rough bitter sourness from the buck-thorn, I suspect.
Soft carbonation. Slightly thick, oily texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger tart bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a little rough. Lingers for a bit.
Not as Herbal as I feared and for once the tart and bitter buck-thorn does not dominate. A decent brew.
