Copenhagen 15/12 2020. 50 cl bottle from Aldi, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Skovlyst' usual design with a little house in snow landscape and a beer drinking Christmas Elf.
Pours clear dark copper with a small white head. Settles as a thin but frothy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sour grainy odor mingling with sweet Christmas spices. Cinnamon, cardamom and caramel. Sour grains and bread.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong rough bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi dry and laced with spice extract.
Weird combination of Christmas spices and a rough bitterness. But better than the former version that tasted like detergent.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 6.0%. Reddish dark amber colour. Aroma of Christmas spices, malts and spruce - but unfortunately also a hint of vomit. Strong and medium sweet flavour of Christmas spices and spruce - some may find it "over the top", but I like it. A little more hops wouldn’t hurt though.

Bottle is a green and 50 cl. (I will try and get a picture up if possible).
By girlfriend had some friends visit Denmark and they brought this beer back to Poland for me and she brought it back to the states. I am excited to be able to review this beer.
Poured into New Belgium Globe glass. There is a nice thick slight tan head that leaves some decent lacing (no particular pattern). Color is a deep dark mahogany, almost black.
The smell is mainly of malts. It has a deep molasses aroma with some spices on the side. It almost smells like a stout. The taste is quite different from anything I have tasted. It was very malty, but there was a hint of mint throughout the entire taste. The molasses as noted in the aroma is also present.
Mouthfeel is rich and creamy. The alcohol becomes present after a while. The molasses taste is also a heavy aftertaste.
Overall, this is a very unique beer, I have never had anything like it. I really enjoyed to be able to experience a beer like this.
