Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad. Golden colour. Moderate fruity hops in the aroma. The flavour has some hoppy bitterness, but not the complexity you expect when 5 different hops have been used.

A: Clear golden filtered with low, small bubbled carbonation that rises slowly to the surface. 3 fingers of off white head fades in a few minutes but maintains a solid foam.
S: Grass, phenols, slight aspirin scent, slight floral but mostly an herbal grassy sent.
T: Sweet and floral, citrus and sweet grapefruit. The sweetness took me off guard for this style, the citrus almost borderlines an American style hopping, though the English rounded dull bitterness is also present.
M: Syrupy body with low carbonation.
O: A modern European interpretation of an old style English ale, with some American infuences. Delicious, unique, the sweetness almost seems a little overboard to me, but I like just as well. Would match well with sweet and spicy Thai food. Found it in Thailand.

Pours clear amber color with crisp white head that fades rather quickly leaving patches of lacing around the glass.
Smell is faint of flowers and hops.
Taste starts out with a very nice caramel flavor up front then changes to a clove like bitterness, it then finishes with a dry floral bitterness. Carbonation is present and active. Leaves a light aftertaste of hops.
Very nice beer with just the right amount of bitterness and malty sweetness that just balances right out. I could drink a few of these without getting board.
