Copenhagen 25/8 2023. 75 cl corked bottle in a dark blue box from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. N. Matte black bottle with a grumpy boar's head in gold.
Pours clear amber with a big off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet sugary and slightly boozy odor mingling with very distinct woody notes. Sweet toffee, raisins and caramel. Dark sweet rum.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, a little sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a sweet streak of liqueur. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry and a bit boozy.
Decent and quite sweet take on a Barrel Aged Ale.

750 ml corked & caged bottle in cardboard box, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 10%. Brown colour, moderate to small off-white head. Aroma of rum, oak, brown sugar and mild spices. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, moderate hops.
