Skovlyst Gold Tripel is a powerful golden Ale, which is fermented on a specially selected "Tripel" yeast. Its robust character and golden expression encapsulate a very special experience that brings to mind a well-balanced symphony of flavors. Here you get an Ale that gives a complex and yet gentle depth of taste

Copenhagen 1/3 2024. 75 cl black matte bottle in a box with a cork like the rest of Skovlyst' Vintage Selection. From Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. N. A golden moose head printed on the bottle. Very vintage.
Pours almost clear yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the side. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, sugary malty odor with a hard edge of alcohol. Sweet pale malts, bread, grains, white sugar and metallic alcohol.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate, rough bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a distinct sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry with a sour twist.
Too sweet and rough for my taste buds - despite the box and matte black bottle.
