Skovlyst Jubilæumsbryg is a strong dark golden ale brewed at the family-owned La Goudale brewery. This uncompromising beer experience is brewed in the ‘Strong Ale’ style and is characterized by both a strong malt character and a sweet, spicy, fruity balance.
As a tribute to Skovlyst’s 15-year brewing history, the beer is brewed with ingredients that characterize the first Skovlyst beers. Skovlyst JubilæumsBryg therefore contains maple syrup and the Amarillo hop variety. The beer is aged on lightly toasted oak chips, which adds a soft vanilla-like flavor to the beer.

Copenhagen 24/10 2020. 75 cl corked bottle from Føtex, BIG shoppingcenter, Herlev. Black matted bottle with the name of the beer and Skovlyst' logo in gold. Comes in a red box to give it a vintage, luxurious vibe.
Pours clear, dark amber with a medium-sized off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor and a bit of boozy notes. Caramel, toffee, syrup, black currants, raisins. Sweet, dark alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a quite light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a while. Sweet finish with a bit of nuts.
Sweet, strong toffee beer. Not the worst way to celebrate a 15 year anniversary.
