Silkeborg 22/7 2020. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Torvet, Silkeborg. Skovlyst’s usual design with idyllic forest scenery which brings leaflets from Jehovas Witnesses to mind. This time with golden balloons to celebrate a supermarket chains birthday.
Pours clear, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a medium strong sweet malty odor mingling with a slightly more moderate citric bitterness. Sweet malts and cardboard. Citrus. A bit perfumed.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Fairly malty but with a little citrus and zest.
